geology
The western part of Saint-Thibéry is built on an old Pleistocene gravel terrace. The eastern part lies over Alluvium des Proto-Hérault . In the south, the Middle Pleistocene , around 680,000 year old volcano of Saint-Thibéry reaches the community center with a lava flow. The volcanic rock was mined for construction purposes in several quarries, among other things the Romans built their bridge with the rock. The ejecta were used as pozzolans .
