The Communauté d'agglomération Hérault Méditerranée is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the Hérault department in the Occitania region . It was founded on December 17, 2002 and comprises 20 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Thibéry . The association of municipalities is named after its location at the mouth of the Hérault river in the Mediterranean ( French Mer Méditerranée ).

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2017, the Tourbes community from the dissolved Communauté de communes du Pays de Thongue joined the local community association.
