Joncels is a French commune with 313 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Clermont-l'Hérault (until 2015: canton of Lunas ). The inhabitants are called Joncelois .
geography
Joncels is about 43 kilometers north of Béziers . Joncels is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Roqueredonde in the north and northeast, Les Plans in the east, Lunas in the south, Avène in the west and Ceilhes-et-Rocozels in the north-west.
The Via Tolosana , the southernmost of the four historical " Way of the Pilgrims of St. James in France " , runs through the municipality .
