Combes ( Occitan : Combas ) is a French commune with 333 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region . It is part of the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Clermont-l'Hérault (until 2015: canton of Saint-Gervais-sur-Mare ). The inhabitants are called combois .

geography

Combes is located about 32 kilometers north-northwest of Béziers in the mountain range of the Monts de l'Espinouse . Combes is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Rosis in the north and north-west, Taussac-la-Billière in the north and north-east, Lamalou-les-Bains in the east, Le Poujol-sur-Orb in the south and Colombières-sur-Orb in the west and south-west.
