Sérignan is a French commune with 6,956 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Béziers-1 .
Sérignan's neighboring municipalities are Portiragnes , Villeneuve-lès-Béziers , Sauvian , Vendres and Valras-Plage , which belonged to Sérignan until 1931. The Orb flows to the east of the village . In the southeast, a piece of the Mediterranean coast belongs to Sérignan. Here are 220 hectares under the administration of the Conservatoire du littoral , the rest largely consists of campsites.
