Montouliers ( Occitan : Montolièrs ) is a French commune with 212 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Saint-Pons-de-Thomières (until 2015: canton of Saint-Chinian ). The inhabitants are called Montouliérains .

geography

Montouliers is located about 24 kilometers west of Béziers in the southernmost foothills of the Massif Central . Montouliers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cruzy in the north and east, Argeliers in the south and Bize-Minervois in the west.
