Prades-sur-Vernazobre ( Occitan : Pradas de Vernasòbre ) is a French commune with 310 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Saint-Pons-de-Thomières (until 2015: canton of Saint-Chinian ). The inhabitants are called Pradéens .

Prades-sur-Vernazobre is located about 21 kilometers northwest of Béziers in the southernmost foothills of the Massif Central . Prades-sur-Vernazobre is surrounded by the neighboring communities Berlou in the north, Cessenon-sur-Orb in the east and northeast, Cazedarnes in the southeast, Pierrerue in the south and west and Ferrières-Poussarou in the northwest.
