Villeneuve-les-Beziers ( Occitan : Vilanova de Besier ) is a municipality in the department of Herault in the region Occitan in southern France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Béziers-3 . The municipality has 4207 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) who are called "Villeneuvois (es)" .

Villeneuve-lès-Béziers is located on the Canal du Midi . The orb limits the community in the southwest. Villeneuve-lès-Béziers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Béziers in the north and west, Cers in the east, Portiragnes in the south-east, Sérignan in the south and Sauvian in the south-west.
