Cébazan ( Occitan : Cebasan ) is a French commune with 616 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Béziers and the canton of Saint-Pons-de-Thomières (until 2015: canton of Saint-Chinian ). The inhabitants are called Cébazanais .

geography

Cébazan is located about 20 kilometers west-northwest of Béziers in the southernmost foothills of the Massif Central . Cébazan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pierrerue in the north, Cazedarnes in the east and north-east, Puisserguier in the east and south-east, Creissan and Quarante in the south, Villespassans in the south-west and Saint-Chinian in the west and north-west.
