Brenas ( Occitan Brenaç ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 53 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Béziers (until 2017: Arrondissement Lodève ) and the canton of Clermont-l'Hérault (until 2015 Canton of Lunas ). The inhabitants are called Brenais .

Brenas is located about 50 kilometers west-northwest of Montpellier on the Salagou . Brenas is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Dio-et-Valquières in the north and north-west, Octon in the north and east, Mérifons in the east, Pézènes-les-Mines in the south and Carlencas-et-Levas in the west.
