Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière ( Occitan : Sant Joan de la Blaquièira ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 627 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hérault department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Languedoc-Roussillon ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Lodève . The inhabitants are called Blaquièrols .

Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière is located about 41 kilometers west-northwest of Montpellier in the Clairette du Languedoc wine-growing region . Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Privat in the north, Saint-Saturnin-de-Lucian in the east, Saint-Giraud in the south and south-east, Le Bosc in the south and west and Usclas-du-Bosc in the west and northwest.

Via Tolosana , one of the four historic routes of the pilgrims in France , runs through the municipality .
