Clairette du Languedoc is the controlled designation of origin for a French wine from a defined area within the Languedoc wine-growing region . The area has the status of an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC).

It is included in the superordinate AOC area Coteaux du Languedoc in the Hérault department . The appellation covers an area of around 75 hectares (as of 2015) in the eight municipalities of Adissan , Aspiran , Cabrières , Ceyras , Fontès , Le Bosc , Lieuran-Cabrières , Nizas , Paulhan , Péret and Saint-André-de-Sangonis , 25 km northeast of Béziers and in close proximity to Pézenas . In 2008, the amount of wine produced was 2,487 hectoliters.

A dry (sec) or semi-dry (demi-sec or moelleux) white wine is made from the Clairette Blanche grape variety . The " rancio " level is rarer and the " vin de liqueur " level is even rarer .

The Clairette grape is one of the oldest grapes in Languedoc . It has been cultivated there for almost 2000 years. After the Languedoc switched from mass to class, it is now being grown again increasingly in some places in the appellation. The most famous Clairette du Languedoc come from Cabrières and Adissan.
