The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Lodève and the canton of Gignac . The inhabitants are called Jonquiérois .

location

Jonquières is located about 42 kilometers north-northeast of Béziers and about 32 kilometers west-northwest of Montpellier . Jonquières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Saturnin-de-Lucian in the north, Saint-André-de-Sangonis in the east and south-east, Saint-Félix-de-Lodez in the south and south-west and Saint-Guiraud in the west.
