Salina Jebet Kosgei
Salina Jebet Kosgei (born November 16, 1976 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon .
In 2002 she won the 10,000 meter run of the Commonwealth Games in Manchester . In 2004 she surprised as the winner of the Paris Marathon in 2:24:29 h. The following year she won the Prague Marathon and came fourth in the New York City Marathon .
In 2006 she first won the Lisbon Half Marathon , then came second in the Berlin Marathon with a personal best of 2:23:22 h and finally won the Singapore Marathon with a course record of 2:31:55 h.
In 2007 she finished fourth in the London Marathon and second in the Tokyo International Women's Marathon . In 2008 she was again fourth in London and finished tenth in the marathon of the Olympic Games in Beijing .
In 2009 she won the traditional Boston Marathon in 2:32:16 h. She reached the finish line with only one second ahead of defending champion Dire Tune .
