Saliszi is mentioned in writing for the first time in 1545 and until 1793 belonged to the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania in the Volyn Voivodeship . With the partitions of Poland , the village fell to what would later become the Russian Empire and was in the Volyn Governorate until the end of the First World War .
After the First World War, the village first came to the West Ukrainian People's Republic and then to the Second Polish Republic (in the Volyn Voivodeship , Powiat Krzemieniec , Gmina Uhorsk ). During the Second World War , it was occupied by the Soviet Union between September 1939 and summer 1941 . After the German invasion of the Soviet Union in June 1941, the village was occupied by Germany until 1944 and incorporated into the general district of Brest-Litovsk / Volhynia-Podolia , district of Kremianez , within the Reichskommissariat Ukraine .
After the war, Saliszi was added to the Soviet Union and incorporated into the Ukrainian SSR . Since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the village has been part of the independent Ukraine.
