Sam Hancock (born January 3, 1980 in Surrey ) is a British racing car driver and the older brother of Ollie Hancock .

Career in motorsport

Sam Hancock began his professional racing career in 1997 in Formula Vauxhall junior , where he finished tenth overall in the 1997 championship. This was followed by three years in Formula Palmer Audi and one season in the Barber Dodge Pro Series , which failed to meet expectations of good championship results.

With the start of the motorsport year 2001, Hancock switched to GT and sports car racing . He drove a Lola B98 / 10 in the FIA Sports Car Championship for Kremer Racing and made his debut at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2002 . Up until 2012 he had competed seven times in the 24-hour race in western France. In none of his missions could he finish the race.

He celebrated successes in the European Le Mans Series . 2004 he won together with Alexander Frei on a plant - Courage C65 LMP2 standings this racing series.

In 2008 he was third overall in the British Porsche Supercup and in 2015 he won the overall ranking of the Salvadori Cup .
