Samantha "Sam" Abernathy (born May 11, 1991 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is an American poker player and it girl .

Personal

Abernathy studied design at the College of Art and Design in Savannah . She worked in Chicago as a graphic designer , photographer and illustrator and has lived in Las Vegas since 2014 . In addition to her poker career, she gained fame through regular appearances with multimillionaire Dan Bilzerian . Abernathy has been engaged since late August 2018.

Poker career

Abernathy plays online under the nickname SamanthaA . She has been taking part in renowned live tournaments since 2014 .

Abernathy played many small tournaments early in her live career and in April 2014 she won several daily tournaments at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas . In June 2015 she was the first time in the World Series of Poker in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino successfully in Las Vegas and was killed in a shootout -Event the variant No-Limit Hold 'em the money. She reached the final table at the main event of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne in late January 2016. For her third place she received her highest prize money to date of around 435,000 US dollars . Abernathy caused a stir before the final table when she won a hand after a slow roll by Australian Mikel Habb and Jason Somerville commented it with "Ship it to Mama".

Overall, Abernathy has earned over $ 550,000 in poker in live tournaments.
