Samantha "Sam" Bailey (* 1977 in Bexley , London ) is a British pop singer .

Career

Bailey worked as a prison guard. In December 2013, she won the tenth season of the British talent show The X Factor . Her debut single Skyscraper , a re-recording of Demi Lovato's hit , reached number one on the UK charts and was a Christmas number one hit . In March 2014, her debut album The Power of Love was released , which also reached number one on the UK charts.
