Louisa Johnson (born January 11, 1998 in Essex , England ) is a British singer . She gained notoriety by winning the twelfth season of the British talent show The X Factor .

Louisa Johnson was born in 1998 in Thurrock, Essex, UK, where she now lives with her mother and brother. She has been singing since 2005 and goes to school in Essex.

Participation in The X Factor 2015

On August 29, 2015, Johnson's first audition aired on ITV 1 . She sang a cover of Who's Loving You by the group The Miracles ( William "Smokey" Robinson ) and qualified for the next round. The show's final took place on December 12th and 13th, 2015, which it won with 53.9% of all votes, ahead of the duo Reggie 'N' Bollie (38.9%) and the singer Ché Chesterman (7.2%) . Her debut single is a cover of the song Forever Young by Bob Dylan . At the age of 17, she is the youngest winner of the British X Factor.
