Samantha Sloyan (born January 4, 1979 in Los Angeles County , California ) is an American actress .

life and career

Samantha Sloyan was born in California as one of two children to actors James Sloyan and Deirdre Lenihan . In 2003 she took on her first acting role. She was seen in the independent film My Life with Morrissey . Since then, she has appeared in a variety of low-budget films .

In addition to her film appearances, Sloyan can be seen regularly in guest roles on US television, for example in The Beast , The Forgotten - The Truth Never Dies , Private Practice , Navy CIS , Parks and Recreation , Castle , The Fosters , Hawaii Five-0 , Rizzoli & Isles , Criminal Minds or Maggy .

From 2012 to 2014 she appeared as Jeannine Locke in the series Scandal . From 2015 the role of Dr. Penelope Blake in Grey's Anatomy . In 2018 she took on a supporting role as Leigh Crain in the Netflix series Haunted Hill House .
