The Sandvika Stadium (formerly Cadet Ballangen Kunstgressbane ) is a football stadium in the Norwegian city of Sandvika , municipality Bærum , the province Viken . The name of the stadium was chosen with the start of the 2010 seasons.
history
Before football was played in the Sandvika Stadium, the facility was used for ice hockey . The ice hockey team from Bærum SK played here and became Norwegian champions in 1936, 1937, 1939 and 1940. As part of the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952, three ice hockey games were played in the stadium .
Artificial turf has now been laid on the pitch and is the venue for the Bærum SK football club . The sports facility has a capacity of 500 spectators. The seats in the grandstands come from the Bislett Stadium, which was under renovation at the time, and were purchased in 2004. With the promotion to the Adeccoligaen , the stadium received new artificial turf and a better grandstand for the 2012 season .
