Sansevieria pearsonii is a species of plant in the genus Sansevieria in the asparagus family (Asparagaceae). The specific epithet honors the English botanist Henry Harold Welch Pearson (1870–1916).
description
Sansevieria pearsonii grows without a stem as a perennial , succulent plant with strong rhizomes . The three to seven cylindrically shaped leaves are arranged in two rows. They stand upright, gradually spreading slightly towards the tip. They are slightly compressed on the sides and have a groove on the top. The simple leaf blade is 50 to 100 inches long and 3.4 to 3.8 inches thick. It narrows into an 8.5 to 25 millimeter long pedicel-round and somewhat awl, whitish stiff spreader tip. The leaves are green or slightly bluish or bluish green. Young fresh leaves initially have faint pale green bands. The edges are greenish white, becoming reddish brown with a whitish edge. The leaf surface is smooth.
The single- eared inflorescences are up to 100 centimeters long. The panicles are densely covered with six to ten flowers per tuft. The flower stalk is 8.5 millimeters long. The flower tube is 1.2 to 2.5 inches long. The bracts are white, greyish or bluish mauve and striped with red above.

Sansevieria pearsonii is distributed in Angola , Botswana , Namibia , Zimbabwe and in South Africa in the provinces of Gauteng , KwaZulu-Natal , Northwest and North Cape on dry, sandy or rocky soils in savannahs or open forests.

The first description of Sansevieria pearsonii was in 1911 by Nicholas Edward Brown .
Synonyms for Sansevieria pearsonii N.E.Br. are: Sansevieria rhodesiana N.E.Br. (1915) and Sansevieria deserti N.E.Br. (1915).
