Sascha Leutloff (born October 22, 1982 in Berlin ) is a German basketball player . He has played 155 games in the basketball league .
Career
Leutloff, who grew up in the Prenzlauer Berg district and was active there for SV Empor Berlin , switched to the successful junior teams of TuS Lichterfelde in southwest Berlin in his youth. By means of a double license , he was also in the squad of the then serial master Alba Berlin. In the 2003/04 BBL season he made his first four top division games. The following season he exceeded the maximum age for the double license and was initially still active for the TuSLi , who had been relegated to the regional league, before he was signed by the first division club in February 2005 after injury problems at Alba. In preparation for the season for the following season, Leutloff injured himself in October 2005 and suffered a serious cruciate ligament rupture , so that he only made his comeback in January 2007 at TuSLi, who had meanwhile been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga .
For the 2007/08 season Leutloff moved to a club outside of Berlin for the first time and signed a contract with the former Lichterfeld league competitor Mitteldeutscher BC in Weißenfels . In the ProA 2008/09 he won the championship with the MBC and rose with the club to the BBL. After a good first season in 2009/10 , with a positive record with 18 wins from 34 games and still within reach of the play-off places at the end of the season , the second first division season was exactly the opposite. Contrary to expectations, one did not get out of the lower third of the table during the entire 2010/11 season and was passed on to the penultimate place in the table at the end of the season, which meant the renewed relegation of the team to their captain Leutloff. In the ProA 2011/12 they reached first place after the main round and in the play-offs for promotion, which were held for the first time, they reached the final, which they could just win against the Kirchheim Knights in a two-way leg . After the license was granted by the BBL, participation in the finals meant immediate resurgence and team captain Leutloff extended it for two more years.
For the 2014/2015 season, Leutloff left the MBC and joined Science City Jena from the second-class 2nd Bundesliga ProA . After seven years, his era at MBC came to an end, and his jersey number 16 is no longer awarded there. At Jena he wanted to devote himself more to his studies in addition to sports. After a season in Jena, Leutloff moved to the university giants Leipzig in the third-class 2. Bundesliga ProB . He stayed in Leipzig until 2017. Later he played for the Hamburg club Bramfelder SV in the 2nd regional league.
