The Saskatchewan Highway 10 is located in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan , it has a length of 219 km. It branches off in Balgonie from the Trans-Canada Highway in a north-easterly direction and ends at the border with Manitoba . The section between Balgonie and Yorkton is part of the Canadian National Highway System .

Routing

The highway begins in Balgonie, a small town east of Regina , and runs northeast to Fort Qu'Appelle . The route continues northeast to Yorkton, where it crosses the Yellowhead Highway . From there, the route swings east and ends at the Manitoba border east of Wroxton .

history

Highway 10 is already shown in the first official highway maps of the province of Saskatchewan. The western end of the highway was in Fort Qu'Appelle, the route corresponded to the current route to Wroxton. Only in the east of Wroxton, Highway 10 turned south-east and then crossed the border with Manitoba at MacNutt .
