Saskia Heintz

Saskia Heintz (* 1966 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German publishing director, editor and translator.

Life

Saskia Heintz studied theater studies , modern German literature , philosophy , psychology and book studies in Berlin and Munich. First she worked at various theaters as a dramaturge and assistant director, then she moved to a theater publisher as a lecturer and worked as an agent for literature and art books.

Until 2004 she was a lecturer in book studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

In 1996 she moved to Carl Hanser Verlag as a press officer and editor , where she set up the children's and youth book publisher together with Friedbert Stohner. She has been running the publishing house since 2014.

Heintz is considered to be the discoverer of several authors whom she helped achieve on the German market and internationally. a.
