The southernmost island is Ta Island in the southeast, one of the four main inhabited islands and community centers. Ta is also by far the longest island with a length of 8.8 km (as the crow flies ), although it is barely 400 meters wide at its widest point in the southwest.
Barely 500 meters east / northeast of Ta is the eponymous main island of the atoll, Satawan, which is also the largest and most easterly island in the atoll.
The westernmost island is Kuttu, also inhabited and community.
The northernmost island of the atoll is the uninhabited island of Alengarik in the northwest.
Moch (More), the fourth of the inhabited islands, is also to the northwest.
