Neoch , also known as Kuop , formerly a Royalist Atoll , is an atoll in the Micronesian state of Chuuk in the immediate vicinity of the main central atoll of Chuuk .
geography
Neoch is less than three kilometers southeast of the islands of Ocha and Meseong of the southern reef rim of Chuuk, and is separated from them by the deep Mochun Nenno , which is characterized by strong currents. The uninhabited atoll has a rectangular shape and four small islands that are scattered on the coral reef rim and that together have a land area of 49 hectares . The main island Givry (Feneppi) lies in the "north corner" of the atoll.
The lagoon is up to 46 meters deep and has an area of over 90 km². In the middle of the southeast flank, a deep but only 270 meter narrow passage for smaller ships leads into the lagoon.

Neoch is, like some motus along the southeastern edge of the Chuuk Atoll, part of the Uman municipality , whose seat is on the island of the same name in the Chuuk lagoon, and thus part of the Southern Namoneas island region .
