Geographical location
The Schadenbeeksköpfe rise in the Upper Harz in the Harz Nature Park about 3.5 km (as the crow flies ) southeast of the village of Sieber, a northeastern district of Herzberg am Harz . They separate the Schadenbeek , after which they were named, from the upper Krumme Lutter . The north-west knoll is 605 m high, the south-east knoll about 585 m .
The Wolkenhügel pit , which was closed in June 2007, is located about 1 km east of the Schadenbeeksköpfe in the Krummen Lutter valley .
Forest cover
Today the Schadenbeeksköpfe in the higher elevations are mainly overgrown with spruce , while in the lower elevations there is also deciduous forest . In 1596 they were still completely overgrown with beeches .
hike
The Schadenbeeksköpfe were included as No. 153 in the system of stamping points of the Harz hiking pin until 2016 . The stamp box hung on a refuge ( ⊙ ; approx. 602 m ), which is about 1 km north of the northwestern crest of the Schadenbeeksköpfe and 1.25 km east-northeast of the Aschentalshalbe . A little to the west of the hut is a survey point at an altitude of 627 m . A spring stream of the Krumme Lutter rises directly beyond the forest path that leads past the hut .
