The Schlankenbächle is a 3.4 km long, left or northeastern tributary of the Kirbach in the Ludwigsburg district , Baden-Württemberg .

The stream rises about 1.3 km southeast of Freudental in the area of ​​the municipality of Löchgau . The stationing line begins at an altitude of 265  m above sea level. NHN . In the topographic map 1: 25,000, however, an upper course of around 500 m is drawn. This has its origin about 360 m northwest at 266  m above sea level. NHN . From here the stream initially flows for about 400 m in a south-easterly direction, but then bends to the west at a fork in the road. After a further 500 m flowing distance, the brook reaches the municipality boundary between Sachsenheim and Löchgau. Turning in a wide arc with a flow distance of about 1250 m to the south, the brook in Großholz flows through two ponds. Then the stream turns back to the southwest. To the north of Langmantel, the stream flows through four larger ponds, before it bends to the southeast shortly before the confluence, and after another 200 m on the left-hand side to 212  m above sea level. NHN to flow into the Kirbach. The estuary is about 1.5 km northwest of Kleinsachsenheim . With a height difference of 53 m, the mean bed slope is 15.6 ‰.

The Schlankenbächle has a catchment area of ​​3.844 km². This borders in the northeast on that of the Steinbach and in the east on that of the Altenbach . The areas south and west of the catchment area are assigned to the Kirbach in water management. The catchment area is drained via Kirbach , Metter , Enz , Neckar and Rhine to the North Sea .

The Schlankenbächle flows along its entire length in the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park and the nature reserve foothills of the Stromberg around Bönnigheim, Erligheim, Freudental, Löchgau and Kleinsachsenheim . In the middle course, the brook crosses the extensive natural monument wetland Großer See / Viehstelle .
