description
main building
The two-storey central building of the castle has a hipped roof and - with the exception of round windows in the outer wing axes - rectangular windows. The main building was expanded between 1820 and 1830 to include the outer axes of the single-storey side wings. In the ceiling of the south-west room on the first floor there are remains of an organ grand piano from St. Martin in Memmingen. Further fragments of these wings are embedded in the ceiling of the stairwell and in the upper corridor. The stairwell has an oak railing with empire motifs . The so-called hall and the two adjoining rooms on the upper floor are equipped with two-story ovens . The lower parts of the wood fireplaces are made of cast iron , the tops have a Vasenbekrönung from terracotta .
Farm buildings and park
The two-storey farm building is located north of the residential building and has a hipped roof. Immediately next to it is a somewhat smaller building, the so-called barn. It also has a hewn roof with dormers . At the garden gate, two sandstone panels with coats of arms and inscriptions are attached to the end of the pillars . The garden gate leads to the outdoor park , which is separated from the indoor park by the St 2009 state road. There is a replica of a sculpture of M. Antonius Antius Lupus , the alleged ancestor of the Lupine family , about 250 m south of the castle . The original is on the Via Appia in Rome. On the hill, 800 m south of the castle, the lord of the castle had an obelisk set up in memory of a beloved riding horse. Between the two monuments there is an avenue of tulip trees and a small park.
