The Schollach is an almost 8 km long stream in the south-eastern Black Forest on the district of Schollach in the municipality of Eisenbach (Hochschwarzwald) in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district , which flows into the Eisenbach from the left and northwest at the Zinken Unterschollach .
geography
course
The Schollach arises between the Black Forest heights of Bossenbühl ( 1127.9 m above sea level ) in the north and Hochberg ( 1115.7 m above sea level ) in the southeast at around 1100 m above sea level. NHN at the Hochberg residential area in the Eisenbach community (Upper Black Forest) in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district . It runs entirely on the district of Schollach .
From here it first flows eastwards through the Hinterschollach Zinken towards Mittelschollach, where it takes its left source branch Süßenbach from the left . At the hamlet of Mittelschollach, which it then reaches on a north-northeastern course, its longest and most catchment-rich tributary, the Engenbach , runs to it from the left . On the subsequent east run, the particularly wide valley narrows again, it then bends to the east-southeast and the Schollach finally flows after 7.8 km at the last living place Steingemmen of the Schollacher district into the Eisenbach approaching from the southeast , which then bends to the east.
Catchment area
The catchment area of the Schollach covers 15.1 km². It is a scattered valley system, next to which wooded mountains rise again and again over meadows up to about 1100 m above sea level. Raise NHN . The northern and northeastern watershed borders on the catchment area of the Urach , which runs further down the valley to the Eisenbach, the southeast to the southern separates from that of the upper Eisenbach itself; on this section the sheath runs south of Hinterschollach over the Steinbühl , at 1141 m above sea level. NHN it is the highest mountain in the catchment area. Beyond the rest of the bend from south to northwest, the Langenordnach competes , which ultimately drains via the Gutach and Wutach to the Upper Rhine , which is why this section is part of the European main watershed between the Danube and the Rhine.
traffic
The small valley system of the Schollach is accessed by the K 4903, which branches off from the L 172 at the mouth of the Schollach and then mostly runs quite close to the water to a little upwards from Hinterschollach. There it leaves the valley, follows the slope of the Steinbühl to the Langenordnach valley to the south-south-east and reaches the state road that climbed over the Eisenbachtal to its pass over to Titisee-Neustadt .
