The Eisenbach is the right upper course of the only short Hammerbach , which arises in the Hammereisenbach-Bregenbach district of Vöhrenbach in the Black Forest-Baar district in Baden-Württemberg from the confluence with the left upper course Urach and there soon flows from the right into the Breg.

geography

course

The Eisenbach rises in the district of the town of Titisee-Neustadt in Oberschwärzenbach at the Hellewanderhof and initially flows in an easterly direction. After two kilometers, it crosses over to the Eisenbach climatic health resort on the edge of the settlement . From here the Eisenbach flows mainly to the northeast. On the western edge of Hammereisenbach-Bregenbach , it crosses the municipality marker of Vöhrenbach and flows a few meters further after a run of 9.2 km with the Urach coming from the northeast to Hammerbach , which after a short eastern run of only 1.5 km in the Breg flows.

Largest inflow of the iron Bach is the tines in the district Unterschollach Schollach opens Schollach that exceeds the Eisenbach upper reaches up to this point both the length as the catchment area and therefore seen hydrologically is the main branch of the Eisenbach-flow system. With it as the upper course, it would be 11.3 km long.

Since the Eisenbach is the somewhat shorter, but richer catchment area of the upper reaches of the Hammerbach, it is hydrologically the main stream of the Hammerbach river system and shares the official river code number with the common lower course of Hammerbach. Sometimes the Hammerbach is therefore also included in the Eisenbach - sometimes also because of its greater length on the Urach name section.
