Schwarzois is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Ybbsitz in the Amstetten district in Lower Austria .

The name Schwarzois refers to the Schwarze Ois , the name of the Kleine Ybbs in the upper reaches.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 52 building areas with 11,276 m² and 23 gardens on 86,345 m² in the cadastral community of Schwarzois, in 1989/1990 there were 51 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased again to 52 and in 2009/2010 there were 49 buildings on 54 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is shaped by forestry. 162 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 690 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 141 hectares and 700 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 136 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 703 hectares. The average soil climate number of Schwarzois is 15 (as of 2010).
