The Gmina Świerczów is a rural municipality in the powiat Namysłowski ("Namslau district"), in the Opole Voivodeship in the south-western part of Poland . The seat of the municipality is the village Świerczów ( German Schwirz ).

The municipality extends southeast of the district town Namysłów (Namslau) .
