Sebastià Taltavull i Anglada (born January 28, 1948 in Ciutadella , Spain ) is a Spanish clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Mallorca .

Life

Sebastià Taltavull i Anglada received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Menorca on September 23, 1972 through Bishop Miguel Moncadas Noguera . Taltavull Anglada graduated with a degree in Catholic theology . From 1972 to 1984 he was director of the Monte-Toro retreat house in the diocese of Menorca. He was also a diocesan youth minister. In 1984 Sebastià Taltavull i Anglada became parish priest in the parish of San Rafael in Ciutadella. From 1989 to 2002 he was Vicar General of the Diocese of Menorca. In 2002 Taltavull Anglada became a penitentiary at the Cathedral of Santa Maria de Ciutadella .

On January 28, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Gabii and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Barcelona . The Archbishop of Barcelona, Cardinal Lluís Martínez Sistach , donated him episcopal ordination on March 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Lleida , Juan Piris Frígola , and the Apostolic Nuncio in Spain, Archbishop Manuel Monteiro de Castro .

On September 8, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him as Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Mallorca for the period of the Sedis vacancy . On September 19, 2017, he was appointed Diocesan Bishop of Mallorca. The inauguration took place on November 25th of the same year.
