The song represents the finale of The Who rock opera Tommy . It also marked one of the most notable moments of the 1969 Woodstock Festival , The Who played it on the third day of the festival at sunrise. The scene can be seen in the film The Kids Are Alright and in the Woodstock film .
See Me, Feel Me was released as a single after its success at the Woodstock Festival in the USA. The song reached number 12 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart in the United States.
