geography

course

The Seebach rises from several sources in the Hain forest in the Spessart northwest of Rothenbuch at the foot of the Eselshöhe ridge , below Miesberg ( 470  m above sea level ) in the Miesgrund . It moves in a right curve at the beginning to the west, at the end to the north, flows through some ponds and runs past the old forest mill to Hain im Spessart . On the right slope of the valley, federal road 26 accompanies him on a long valley climb . Only below the mill does the Seebach emerge from the forest and pass under the viaduct of the Main-Spessart Railway , which is popularly known as the Spessarttor . In Hain im Spessart it then joins from the left with the Schwarzbach coming from the east to Laufach , which flows off to the west.
