The Schwarzbach is the right source brook of the Laufach in the district of Aschaffenburg in the Bavarian Spessart .

geography

course

The Schwarzbach rises in the forest at the foot of the Eselshöhe mountain ridge , below the Schwarzkopf ( 460.4  m above sea level ) east-northeast of Hain im Spessart . It runs to the northwest in the direction of the Schwarzkopf Tunnel and bends in a westerly direction at the Sensenbrunnen . There the Herzbach flows in a four-way valley spider from the south. The Schwarzbach now flows into a concrete channel and then immediately crosses in the pedestrian tunnel under the route of the Main-Spessart Railway, which ran on the Spessart ramp here until 2017 . The new railway line spans the valley a little further west. He steps out of the forest and, accompanied by individual rows of hedges and groups of trees on the lower slope, runs through a meadow hollow further to the west-south-west. Already in Hain the Schwarzbach crosses under the federal highway 26 and joins there a few steps later with the Seebach coming from the left and south to Laufach , which continues almost exactly in its direction.
