The Boltenmoor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony district of Diepholz .

description

The 13.3 hectare nature reserve with the registration number NSG HA 181 is located about five kilometers east of the town center of Syke between the two Syk districts of Osterholz and Gödestorf and between the K 121 and the Süstedter Bach .

The Boltenmoor is characterized by near-natural alder (quarry) forests, which are located on damp, seeping to waterlogged fen sites. In addition to permanent grassland areas , there are also beech , spruce and poplar forests in places . The ordinance is primarily intended to protect the existing natural forest and the near-natural alder forests.

history

By decree of September 10, 1996, the Boltenmoor area was placed under nature protection. The district of Diepholz is responsible as the lower nature conservation authority.
