The Neustädter Moor meadow area is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Wagenfeld in the Diepholz district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 137 is 155 hectares in size. It is a complete part of the FFH area “Neustädter Moor” and the EU bird sanctuary “Diepholzer Moorniederung”.
The nature reserve is located northeast of Wagenfeld and south of Freistatt in the Diepholzer Moorniederung . In the east it borders on the nature reserves “ Neustädter Moor ”, “ Neustädter Moor II ” and “ Neustädter Moor Regenerationsgebiet ”, with which it forms a coherent protected area.
The nature reserve "Wiesengebiet Neustädter Moor" was designated as the last of the four protected areas. It serves as a buffer zone for the adjacent raised bog area. At the same time, it is a habitat for plant and animal species in need of protection, including meadow birds in particular . The area is characterized by a change in used and unused areas, with the areas used being predominantly grassland .
The nature reserve is drained via the moor canal to the Flöthe and Wagenfelder Aue , which flows into the Hunte just above Barnstorf .
The area has been a nature reserve since March 9, 1989. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Diepholz.
