The Neustädter Moor regeneration area is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipalities of Varrel and Wehrbleck in the combined municipality of Kirchdorf and the municipality of Wagenfeld in the Diepholz district .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG HA 066 is 710 hectares in size. It is completely part of the FFH area “Neustädter Moor” and the EU bird sanctuary “Diepholzer Moorniederung”.

The nature reserve is located south of Freistatt and northeast of Wagenfeld in the Diepholzer Moorniederung . It borders in the south on the nature reserve " Neustädter Moor II " and in the west on the nature reserve " Wiesengebiet Neustädter Moor ". Together with the “ Neustädter Moor ” nature reserve further south, the nature reserves form a coherent protected area.

The "Neustädter Moor Regenerationsgebiet" nature reserve was designated as the third of the four protected areas. It is the largest sub-area. At the time it was placed under protection, industrial peat mining was still taking place. This is now set and the area after the rewetting supplied to the restoration. The manual peat dig for self-sufficiency remains approved subject to conditions. At the edge of the nature reserve, moist grassland areas serve as a buffer zone.

The area is drained in two directions, in the north over the Wiete with Schnatgraben to the Great Aue , which flows into the Weser a little above Nienburg , in the south on the one hand to the Great Aue and the Wagenfelder Aue , which flows into the Hunte just above Barnstorf .

The area has been a nature reserve since December 31, 1983. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Diepholz.
