The Okeler Sandgrube is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony district of Diepholz . The nature reserve is identical to FFH area 272 "Okeler Sandgrube".

description

The 3.6 hectare large nature reserve with the license plate number NSG HA 160 is located in the Syker district Okel , about 5 km north-east of the heart of Syke. This is a former sand excavation that has filled with groundwater . The nature reserve is to be safeguarded in its existence as a habitat for plant and animal species that are adapted to nutrient-poor, humid and occasionally humid locations as well as to nutrient-poor standing waters .

history

By ordinance of June 28, 1993, the “Okeler Sandgrube” area was declared a nature reserve. The district of Diepholz is responsible as the lower nature conservation authority.
