The Bleckriede is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Varrel (combined municipality of Kirchdorf ) and the municipality of Wagenfeld in the Diepholz district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 158 is 225 hectares in size. A large part of it is part of the EU bird sanctuary Diepholzer Moorniederung . It is located east of Wagenfeld and north of Ströhen in the Diepholzer Moorniederung . It is bounded in the west by Landesstraße 347 and in the east by the Bassum – Herford railway line, which has been closed between Barenburg and Rahden .
When the field is primarily on fen gelegenem damp and wet grassland , the water moves to the Great Aue drained. The nature reserve is also important as a link between the Neustädter Moor nature reserve to the west and the Großes Renzeler Moor nature reserve to the east .
The area has been a nature reserve since September 16, 1992. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Diepholz.
