The Hohe Moor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon community of Kirchdorf in the combined community of Kirchdorf in the district of Diepholz and in the spots of Steyerberg and Uchte in the combined community of Uchte in the district of Nienburg .

The nature reserve is located near Kirchdorf, but is administered under the name Hohes Moor (Hanover) with the registration number NSG HA 159. It is 633  hectares in size, of which 515 hectares are in the Diepholz district and 118 hectares in the Nienburg district. The area is almost identical to the FFH area "Hohes Moor bei Kirchdorf".

The nature reserve is located east of Kirchdorf in the Diepholzer Moorniederung . It is a raised bog area that has been used extensively for manual peat cutting and industrial peat extraction. Rests of upland moor have been preserved in some areas. The peeled off areas are renatured by rewetting .

In the peripheral areas and in the southern area of ​​the nature reserve, areas are used for agriculture. After a transition period, the areas used for arable farming are to be converted into permanent grassland , and the existing grassland is to be extensively used.

In the northeast of the nature reserve there are inland dunes between the high moor area and the Great Aue . Here you can find silver grass fields, sandy grasslands and sandy heaths .

The area has been a nature reserve since June 24, 1993. The responsible lower nature conservation authorities are the districts of Diepholz and Nienburg.
