The Hägerdorn is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Hoyerhagen in the joint municipality of Grafschaft Hoya in the district of Nienburg / Weser .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 108 is around 56 hectares in size. It is congruent with the FFH area of the same name . The area has been under protection since February 18, 2016. It replaces the 27 hectare nature reserve that was designated on August 14, 1986. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Nienburg / Weser.
description
The nature reserve is located northwest of Hoya in the glacial valley of the Weser . It provides a structure-rich and near-natural oak-hornbeam forest as well as other deciduous forest communities in fresh to moist locations under protection. In addition to oaks and hornbeams , the sets tree layer mainly of ash , field and mountain maple , elm , black cherry and beech , and the shrub layer of hazel , hawthorn and spindle tree together. In the herb layer settle u. a. Windflower , Great chickweed , Carex Acutiformis , Winkelsegge , hairgrass , millet , Hollow Corydalis and Oxlip . The edges of the forest are close to nature in places and form a flowing transition between forest and open land . The forest communities have a high proportion of old and dead wood . Some of the oak stocks date from the middle of the 19th century.
The nature reserve is almost completely surrounded by agricultural land . In the east and north it borders in parts on the Krähenkuhlenfleet , in the west on the Rohlfener Graben. Several forest and hiking trails run through the nature reserve .
