The joint municipality Grafschaft Hoya is a joint municipality in the district of Nienburg / Weser in Lower Saxony . The name is derived from the historic county Hoya , after which the former county Hoya was named. In 2011 the joint municipality of Grafschaft Hoya merged with the joint municipality of Eystrup to form the now enlarged joint municipality of Grafschaft Hoya. The seat is in Hoya , in Eystrup there is a branch office of the administration.

The entire municipality of Grafschaft Hoya is located in the Breslau-Magdeburg-Bremen glacial valley in the Central Weser region .

The coat of arms of the entire municipality of Grafschaft Hoya shows two upright bear paws , connected at the bottom, connected at the bottom, and a blue wavy bar . The bear paws are reminiscent of the historic county of Hoya , the wave beam of the Weser .
fusion
On January 1, 2011, the joint municipality of Grafschaft Hoya merged with the former joint municipality of Eystrup . Since then, the joint municipality has included exactly that part of the former County of Hoya , which has been part of the Nienburg district since 1974. As early as 2009, the 10 municipalities and the two joint municipal councils decided to merge. On November 7, 2010, the new joint municipal council was elected. The new joint mayor Detlef Meyer was elected in a runoff on November 21, 2010.

- Alhuser Ahe nature reserve , an alluvial forest area (22 ha) between Hassel and Hoya with lark spur (white and purple).
Art in public space
- Der Zwergenbrunnen (1989) in Langen Straße, Hoya, by R. Duwe and R. Kubina; consisting of copper, brass, sandstone and wood. The sculpture is the creative implementation of the legend about the dwarves in the castle of Hoya
- Eel sculptures (2004) between the central square and the port facilities, near the Weser bridge, Hoya, by A. Bittner, U. Bittner and RD Nerenberg. The sculptures are intended to represent a link to the city center and reflect Hoya's connection to the Weser. The tunnel ceiling painted with the underside of a canoe can also be seen in the passage between the central square and the port facilities
- A mural by the Schweringen artist Gottlieb Pot d'Or (1905–1978), possibly from the 1950s, in the cash desk of the Sparkasse Hoya as well as a city coat of arms on the outside of the building
- The bronze sculpture by the artist Frijo Müller-Belecke Esel with monk on the market square in front of the Bücken Collegiate Church was erected in 1982 on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the Bücken district. It refers to the legend of the naming of the spot.
- The sculpture Statio made of copper by the artist Pablo Hirndorf on the market square in front of the Bücker collegiate church from 2010, which is in connection with the copper sheet exhibition Stations of the Cross inside the church.
