The alluvial forest near Hingste is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon municipality of Hilgermissen in the joint municipality of Grafschaft Hoya in the district of Nienburg / Weser .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 161 is 2.5 hectares in size. The nature reserve, which lies between Dörverden and Hoya north of the village of Hingste in the lowland area of the Weser , but outside the diked bank area, protects a mesophilic mixed oak forest as the remainder of a hardwood alluvial forest . The forest, which is characterized by old and dead wood , has a species-rich herb layer .
The area has been a nature reserve since December 9, 1993. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Nienburg / Weser.
