The Speckenbachtal is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Borstel in the district of Diepholz and Wietzen in the district of Nienburg .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 192 is 45 hectares in size. Of this, 43 hectares are in the Diepholz district and 2 hectares in the Nienburg district. The nature reserve is located between Sulingen and Nienburg, east of the Siedenburg area . It places a section of the Speckenbach and the Triebjebach and the adjacent floodplain under protection. The latter is partly used for agriculture as grassland , meadow and pasture , and partly it is forested. Reeds , sedges and tall herbaceous meadows can be found along the streams .
The area has been under nature protection since September 16, 1999. The responsible lower nature conservation authorities are the districts of Diepholz and Nienburg.
