The Schnepker Schlatt is a nature reserve in the northern part of the Diepholz district in Lower Saxony .

description

The Schnepker Schlatt nature reserve is an area of ​​5.0 hectares 1 km southwest of the Schnepke district of Syker .

It is a Unterschlatt ( Ice Age oligotrophic shallow water ) obtained by in-growing woody plants greatly from sedimentation is threatened. Since it is of particular interest in terms of vegetation studies , the area should be preserved and developed as the most undisturbed habitat for plant and animal species in need of protection.

history

With the first ordinance of March 18, 1935 and the current ordinance of June 10, 1993, the "Schnepker Schlatt" was declared a nature reserve. The district of Diepholz is responsible as the lower nature conservation authority.
