The Diepholzer Moor is a nature reserve in the area of the city of Diepholz in the Lower Saxony district of Diepholz . It is part of the Diepholzer Moorniederung .
description
The 498.0 hectare nature reserve with the registration number NSG HA 148 is located about 2 kilometers west of the city center of Diepholz , south of the B 214 . These are mostly raised bog areas , some of which have not been peated at all and are no longer peated. You can now regenerate. In front of and partially stored are grassland areas . The protection is intended to preserve and develop the typical bog biotope types and the moist and wet grassland.
The nature reserve forms the FFH area 429 "Diepholzer Moor".
When Crane counting the 2012/2013 season in October around 33,000 cranes were counted.
Since 2009 poisoned birds of prey have been found in the Diepholzer Moor and in the adjacent Steinfelder Moor .

The BUND Diepholzer Moorniederung has been developing and maintaining the moors since 1983 .
The Diepholzer Moor area was declared a nature reserve by ordinance of April 9, 1990 . The district of Diepholz is responsible as the lower nature conservation authority.
